Stéfane Fermigier pointed out recently to me an article by Sari Azout about boutique search engines.
Re-Organizing the World’s Information: Why we need more Boutique Search Engines
Sari suggests that "the opportunity in search is not to attack Google head-on with a massive, one size fits all horizontal aggregator, but instead to build boutique search engines that index, curate, and organize things in new ways."
This is actually one of the applications we are considering for Mynij. We also share the idea that boutique search engines will need curators and a way to incentivize them. This is why the catalog of selected sources has been built with an Appstore engine.
However, for now, we must first demonstrate that we can created useful sources. We will focus first on education.
Meanwhile, feel free to try Mynij.
